This Moon

This moon is ours to share,
even though we are miles
apart.
I see your face in the dark,
reflected
by light a million miles away.
I see you in my mind,
turning toward the direction
you imagine me to be, holding what’s
left of your savaged heart
and muttering your revenge.

A love poem; or rather a poem about a broken heart, dark and haunting with the sting in the last word. I like it. And the photo fits. Did you take the photo yourself? First your legs and now the moon. You’re on a roll.
