These tracks are more
than the legacy of a bird
looking for sustenance. ..
they are a dare to us in their simplicity against the crust of snow, a dare to see the symbol in a quest for forage.

There is a satisfying simplicity in the photo and the words, both of which imply a great deal. I like this. This reminds me of the simplicity, beauty and depth of meaning in the best haiku poetry.
